About SPSC Recruitment:
Sikkim became an integral part of the Indian Union in May, 1975. The Constitutional Provision under Article 315 to have a Public Service Commission for the State was fulfilled by constituting a State Public Service Commission in the year 1978. The Public Commission has actually started functioning from 1982 with the appointment of the Chairman and deputation of the staff from the State Government.Thereafter the Commission started to function in different rented buildings. At present the State Public Service Commission is located in the class rooms of the Old West Point School Complex. Consequent upon the decision of the Union Public Service Commission to declare Gangtok as one of the Centres for conducting Union Public Service Commission Examinations, the Sikkim Public Service Commission has been entrusted with the work of conducting Union Public Service Commission examinations.

SPSC Recruitment 2018 Notification Details:
Qualification For SPSC recruitment 2018:
Candidates should be complete Class XII examination passed from a recognized Board with Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from any recognized Nursing Institute or any higher nursing education and registered with the Sikkim Nursing Council.
Age limit:
Candidates minimum age should be 18 years and maximum age should be 40 years as on 31-3-2018.
Application Fee:
Application fee amounting to Rs.150/- only may be paid online through credit/debit card, Net Banking by Visa/Mastercard. The amount once deposited shall not be refunded or adjusted against any other purpose. Candidates belonging to PWD Category are exempted from paying the fees.
Selection Procedure For SPSC recruitment:
- Selection procedure will be based on either Written Exam/Interview.
- Those candidates claiming reservation under BPL Category should obtain a Certificate from DESME with the remark “This Certificate is valid for Job Purpose only” and should be produced at the time of Scrutiny of documents.
- Those candidates claiming reservation under SPAE Category should obtain:i. Valid Certification of their participation in any sporting event in the National/International level duly countersigned by the Sports & Youth Affairs Department and same to be produced at the time of Scrutiny of documents.ii. Valid Certification of their participation in any cultural event in National/International forum, duly countersigned by the Culture Department and same to be produced at the time of Scrutiny of documents.
